Merit Badge Process

Posted on Sep 1 2015 - 7:26pm

Please make sure you request a merit badge blue card from Mr. Ringener before you meet with your merit badge counselor.  In addition, make sure you discuss the merit badge requirements with your counselor BEFORE completing requirements as expectations and interpretations of the requirement may be different than what you or another adult has in mind.  If you have a partial merit badge completed from camp or another location, it is also important to discuss the remaining requirements with your "new" counselor before you complete them.

Parents - We Need You!

Posted on Sep 1 2015 - 2:26pm

We are always looking for additional merit badge counselors!  Everyone has a skill, hobby, or interest covered by one of the more than 130 BSA merit badges.  A significant objective of the merit badge program is to introduce the scouts to working with a variety of adults.  So, we would like to encourage non-ASMs and non-Committee members to take on the role of merit badge counselors.  Check out this link and let Stephanie Demeter know which merit badges you can help the Troop out with!  Training will be provided on Mon. 9/14 at 7 pm.
